About, and how the numbers are made

DailyPropBoard shows how often a player has cleared the number a pick'em app or sportsbook is posting for him in his next game. That is the whole product. It never takes a wager, never handles money, never posts a pick, and never links to a book.

Where every number comes from

NFL game logs and injury reports come from nflverse, published under CC BY 4.0.
College football is paused (October 2026). Picks saved while its board ran settled from CollegeFootballData box scores.
The posted lines come from The Odds API. Today that is 14 apps and books: PrizePicks, Underdog, DraftKings, FanDuel, Fliff, Hard Rock Bet, Bally Bet, betPARX, BetRivers, ESPN Bet, BetMGM, Fanatics, DK Pick6 and Caesars. The list is read off the board itself, so it is whatever is posting today. We display the numbers; we do not redistribute them, which is why there is no export or feed.

We are not affiliated with any league, team, app or book, and we take no commission from any of them.

How fresh it is

The board is rebuilt each morning, and the lines are pulled again a few hours before kickoff on game days. It was last rebuilt Oct 22, 3:31 PM ET. Between those runs nothing changes: a number is a snapshot from the last pull, and the book may have moved it since. Check the app before you play. Every time on the site is shown in ET, on every page, so a Thursday game reads the same wherever you open it.

Four clocks, so you know which time means what. Quote time is when a book's number was pulled; it sits beside the number, and the board's header shows the span of quote times on the board. Each game's lines are re-pulled in the six hours before its kickoff (12:30, 3:30 and 7:30 PM ET), so a Sunday game's quotes can be from the morning while Thursday's are minutes old. Board build is when the morning run rebuilt everything. Injury report is when the week's report was last read, shown with each listing. Resultsare settled the morning after the games.

How a hit rate is counted

A hit is finishing strictly above the posted number. Landing exactly on it is a push and is left out of both the count and the total, the way the apps settle it.
Last 5, 10 and 20 are the player's most recent games with that stat, across seasons. This season is every game in the season of the game being priced, named by the year it started: an NFL season runs from August into the new year, so a January game counts toward the season that began the August before. All games is every game we hold, across seasons. Home / away is the last 20 games in the same home or away spot as the game being priced.
The average under a rate is how far above or below the number he finished, on average. A high rate on a thin average is shown in amber, because ten wins by a hair is a coin flip that has been landing heads.
When books post different numbers, each book's rate is computed against its own number. A prop page uses the median across books.
The sample size is printed beneath every rate. A small sample is not a trend.

What it is not

A hit rate is a count of what happened. It is not a probability of what will happen, and nothing on this site is a prediction, a pick or a recommendation. The apps that take the bet already know that same-team legs move together and price accordingly; a rate here is not a payout.

Why there is no export or live feed

The licences that let us show these numbers forbid passing them on as data. That rules out downloads and an API, and it is why the board is a series of snapshots rather than a live feed. We would rather show you what we may than sell you what we may not.

“Moved since posted” on the board, and a move in the insights, means the number changed between the first time we recorded it for this game and the most recent pull. It is a fact about the book, not a signal; a move can happen for a hundred reasons, and the site does not guess which.

DPB Signal: Read it beside the hit rate and the sample: the hit rate is what happened, the sample is how much that can bear, and the Signal is the model's estimate.On pro football: The DPB formula's estimate, 0 to 100, of the chance this side lands, from his workload, the matchup and who is out. Provisional: it has not yet beaten the books' own lines on a week it never saw, so the board ranks by hit rate and this is a model estimate, not a forecast. Its record is public. The record.
Hit rate: How often he cleared this exact number in his last ten games; a push leaves the sample. The board ranks by it weighted: this season's games count in full, last season's at half, and fewer games count for less.
Sample: How much a hit rate can bear: how many games it counts, how many are from this season, and whether his role has changed since. Ten games from last season, in another job, are not ten games in his current role.
Line Shop: The same prop posted at different numbers by different books, side by side, with how often he cleared each one.
Book Range: Every book's current number for one prop on one scale: the lowest, the highest and how far apart they are.
Ticket: The sides you have taken, read as one: every leg has to clear, so the ticket counts how often these legs landed together.
My Picks: The tickets you saved. Each one grades itself against the public results when its games end.
Quick Pick Optimizer: Pick the games; it finds the set of legs that have most often landed together in the weeks they all played.
Easiest number: The easiest posted number for the side: the lowest on the over, the highest on the under. The number only: the best price at a number is shown separately, and pick'em apps post no odds. Arithmetic, not a recommendation.

If a number is wrong

Email andy@finetimeconsulting.com with the player, the stat and the game. We check the game log against the source, fix the store, and the next refresh carries the correction. If a line is wrong, the fix is at the book; our copy is whatever they posted when we looked.

Your data

Signed out, the props you follow and the tickets you build live in your own browser and never reach us. If you buy a plan, Stripe holds your email and payment details and we hold a signed cookie naming your Stripe customer record. Signed in, the props you follow, your ticket, your saved tickets and boards are kept against that record so they are there on every device you sign in on. Signing in is a one-time link to your email; there is no password. Details are on the privacy page; to delete an account, email the address above.
