About, and how the numbers are made

DailyPropBoard shows how often a player has cleared the number a pick'em app or sportsbook is posting for him tonight. That is the whole product. It never takes a wager, never handles money, never posts a pick, and never links to a book.

Where every number comes from

• NFL game logs and injury reports come from nflverse, published under CC BY 4.0.
• College football game logs come from CollegeFootballData.
• The posted lines, from PrizePicks, Underdog, DraftKings and FanDuel, come from The Odds API. We display them; we do not redistribute them, which is why there is no export or feed.

We are not affiliated with any league, team, app or book, and we take no commission from any of them.

How fresh it is

Everything refreshes once a night, around 5 AM Eastern. The lines are a snapshot taken then, so by kickoff a number can be up to a day old and the book may have moved it. Check the app before you play. Every time on the site is shown in ET, on every page, so a Thursday game reads the same wherever you open it.

How a hit rate is counted

• A hit is finishing strictly above the posted number. Landing exactly on it is a push and is left out of both the count and the total, the way the apps settle it.
• Last 5, 10 and 20 are the player's most recent games with that stat, across seasons. Season is every game we hold. Home / away counts only games in the same venue context as tonight's.
• The average under a rate is how far above or below the number he finished, on average. A high rate on a thin average is shown in amber, because ten wins by a hair is a coin flip that has been landing heads.
• When books post different numbers, each book's rate is computed against its own number. A prop page uses the median across books.
• The sample size is printed beneath every rate. A small sample is not a trend.

What it is not

A hit rate is a count of what happened. It is not a probability of what will happen, and nothing on this site is a prediction, a pick or a recommendation. The apps that take the bet already know that same-team legs move together and price accordingly; a rate here is not a payout.

Why there is no export, feed or line movement

The licences that let us show these numbers forbid passing them on as data. That rules out downloads and an API, and it is why the board is a nightly snapshot rather than a live feed. We would rather show you what we may than sell you what we may not.

If a number is wrong

Email andy@finetimeconsulting.com with the player, the stat and the game. We check the game log against the source, fix the store, and the next refresh carries the correction. If a line is wrong, the fix is at the book; our copy is whatever they posted when we looked.

Your data

The props you follow and the slips you build live in your own browser and never reach us. If you buy a plan, Stripe holds your email and payment details and we hold nothing but a signed cookie naming your Stripe customer record. Details are on the privacy page; to delete an account, email the address above.
